Aloha!

First of all, congratulations on your engagement! This is a very exciting time for the two of you as you take this journey together into the unknown, nerve-wracking, ever-so fun times of wedding planning!

I have had an amazing journey in the world of film and media arts. I lived in Vancouver and worked as a photographer and camera operator for several films and TV shows in addition to shooting for my own photography company. Through my years of experience, I am well on my way to becoming a complete and expressionistic artist. A movie buff and a Leafs fan (I know, "next year...") I have an ardent desire to capture the inner essence of quality and creativity in each of my pieces.

Wedding photography for me means more about capturing unstaged expression - the heart of real human emotion. How many times have we been told to say ‘cheese’ infront of a camera? Or better yet, ‘pizza?’ It’s the little moments that are paramount to telling the story. A bride crying in her father’s shoulder during a dance, a mother putting on her son’s boutineer, or a grandparent giving a toast to the couple. These are the moments that last, and the ones we want to remember.

Weddings can happen so quickly that the couple (while trying to keep their heads on straight), lose track of their guests and all the little details that they worked so hard in preparing. Not to say that the wedding isn’t about the bride and groom (you know it is), but the guests and the atmosphere make up the rest of the story - the relationships they share, and how everyone comes together to wish two people lifelong happiness.

When you look back at the pictures, I want you to smile just as much as when I took them. Afterall, when the drinks are gone and the hall is a mess, your pictures will be what brings your memory back to the most special day in your life.
